Good morning from Okurase!

We are having a fantastic time in Okurase! The people are so welcoming & happy we're here. Our soccer & recycling projects are coming along, we've been part of a dance workshop (FUN!), met with some of the village elders (interesting & ceremonial), have purchased beautiful local fabrics & have some tailors in Okurase making us some clothing items, will participate in a batik workshop (local way of making fabric), jewelry making class, learn more about West African drumming culture, and more. It is extremely hot & humid here, which takes a lot out of you when you're outside all day, but the group is staying positive & rising above the constant sweaty/sticky feeling. We are staying hydrated so that makes a huge difference. Overall, we are healthy - a few minor rumbly tummies, but those things pass with rest & water & haven't been an on-going issue. We have been blessed with health & great attitudes - the group dynamic is outstanding & I'm really proud of these students!

I continue to add photos to the blog offline on my laptop (& am able to update this now using Sarah from SAGE's phone). I will post some photos hopefully soon.

Hugs and smiles from Ghana to our loved ones at home!
